Alright here is the last of the big portrait commissions I had open. Each character belongs to
I'll post who everyone is from the top left to the bottom right.
I'm also gonna post any reference image I used as well.
Torea Sterling [link] - Hendrik [link]
Androval Sterling [link] - Asmira Dantares [link]
Devon Fargale [link] - Tao Majere [link]
All characters are copyright to and the artwork is of course to me. Do not use for your own characters even if you think they resemble them.
Media:
0.5 mechanical pencil 2B lead
Time: Maybe 1.5 hours on each character including sketch time considering they were only $5.00 a character I think that's pretty good n_n
As Hendrik is my character I'm particularly excited to see that!! Looks great. I also particularly like your Tao. Everyone else who draws her goes a little 'fan-service' but I think yours is probably the closest to how *I've* always imagined her.

My absolute favorite is Tao. You've made her look lovely, and I appreciate that greatly! She looks confident, sexy, and intelligent. And her eyes are gorgeous.
Asmira is a close second. She has a dark sensuality that I think you have captured very well (the errant strand of hair that seems to caress her shoulder is a very nice touch.
I am not as fond of Torea. She probably is the furthest from the way I envisioned her. In her profile, her jaw seems quite large (and low slung). And her nose, while not exactly misshapen, seems to be a tad on the large side. And the bridge seems to be a bit too far from the face in general. It's hard for me to look at my own profile and judge though. But it just seems to make her brow too thick.

Woooow. I love it, they're all so full of life it jumps from the screen. I wish I could project characterization into their very features like you..it's absolutely amazing. I think I'd give up breathing if I could shade like that. Positively breath taking work you have here!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
